Visit to Bangkok in December 2024

From 15th to 17th December 2024, the Thai and Japanese 3DTraffic teams had a series of meetings in Bangkok, Thailand. Various activities are scheduled for this visit, including meetings with the BMA (Bangkok Metropolitan Administration), the Thai JICA team, the OC Global Thailand, and the Professors from Chulalongkorn University involved in this project.

The team had the chance to visit BMA and discuss some matters related to our project with the relevant BMA team which handles local traffic management. During the occasion, the team presented our project plan and had some insightful discussions from the perspective of the local government. Aside from that, the 3DTraffic team also plans to create some events in the following year:

  • A research seminar event will be held to exchange knowledge in the transportation field and to foster collaborative relationships between research institutions in Thailand and Japan. The seminar is planned to be held in Bangkok on March 2025.
  • The first JCC (Joint Coordination Committee) meeting. In the future, JCC meetings can be done regularly, about 1 to 2 times a year.

We thank the BMA, JICA Thailand, OC Global Thailand, and all relevant organizations for their time and support to our project.

* 3DTraffic is the abbreviation of our project title, Project for Data Driven Dynamic Transport Management in Emerging Metropolis for Climate Change Mitigation, which will take Bangkok as the study case.
