In December 2024, our team started an online vote for our project’s logo. After some voting and discussion, one option was finally chosen out of 4 alternative designs. The selected logo is as follows:
The logo is comprised of 2 elements, the icon and the text, each representing the essence of our project. Previously, “3DTraffic” has been selected as the short version of our project title, “The Project for Data Driven Dynamic Transport Management in Emerging Metropolis for Climate Change Mitigation” which will take Bangkok as the study case.
Starting from the icon, it consists of 3 alphabet ‘D‘s which abbreviates the ‘Data-Driven Dynamic’ Transportation. At the same time, three ‘Dee‘s also mean three good things in the Thai language, similar to the three good qualities in transportation that we want to achieve through this project (faster, green, and safe / รวดเร็ว ปลอดภัย ใส่ใจสิ่งแวดล้อม). The three D’s are also progressing to a more solid state, illustrating the dynamic road movement and advancement of transport management through our study. Green is chosen as the icon’s color to represent safety, sustainability, and environmentally friendly transportation work. It is also the color of SATREPS logo, showing that our project is part of the SATREPS’ project.
As for the text, the color of grey is selected to represent the color of roadways, an element that acts as the foundation of urban transportation.
We are also adapting a simpler version of the logo to be used when necessary:
From now on, we will use these logos as a visual identifier for our project.
